Rory Feek Canceled His Plane Ticket to the Grammys& Heres What He Has to Say About Losing

Joey had a Southwest plane ticket all ready to go for him…

Joey and Rory Feek have had quite an event-filled week. Amidst the cancer battle growing Joey evermore weary by the day, the couple has had several amazing milestones to look forward to.

They celebrated a beautiful Valentine’s Day together on the 14th, the Grammys were on Monday, and their daughter Indiana’s birthday is coming up this Wednesday. Plus, they just released their final album on the 12th, “Hymns That Are Important to Us.”

But it’s the Grammys last night that have really been all the buzz surrounding the couple. They were nominated for “If I Needed You” in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category.

Joey actually bought Rory a ticket to attend and insisted that he go, but Rory just couldn’t leave her side.

Joey tried to talk me into goingmany, many times,” he said.“She even had a Southwest ticket purchased for me that I cancelled. I cant leave her. I wont. I have done many foolish things and made lots of mistakes in my life, but this isnt going to be one of them.

They opted to watch from home instead. Many were heartbroken for the couple when the Grammy went to Little Big Town instead, but the couple’s recent Instagram post perfectly expresses how they feel about the loss.

Rory posted this photo of their Grammy Nominee medal, along with a caption that simply stated, “…more than enough”

Wow, what humility. These two continue to be the most wonderful inspiration through sickness and health, triumph and loss.

You will forever be winners in our books, Joey and Rory!
